My work is inspired by the idea of life flashing before a persons eyes just before death at an elderly age. I have conveyed and shown this by the structure of my piece starting from the outside, which represents youth or childhood and how there are imperfections. As the piece flows toward the middle, lines become straighter and colours become a bit more sophisticated but still energetic. This is showing a shift into adulthood. Then finally the centre where there are even more layers, and the lines form whole shapes. Showing the next and the last part of life. Overall I created this piece with an aim of showing the layers and joy of life as a whole.
