We have been in the Waikato as Balfour Irvine and Webster and Lawrence Andrews since 1925. There is 84 years of history prior to the merger of the two practices in 1995 to form Paterson Burn Optometrists.

1925 Lawrence Andrews Optometrist on Victoria Street
1946 Becomes Andrews and Purchase
1949 Tokoroa Practice opens
1971 Adrian Paterson joins, becomes Purchase and Paterson
1978 Moves to Anglesea Street North becomes Adrian Paterson Optometrist
1989 David Thatcher’s Practice is purchased
1991 Moves to current premises
1995 Merges with Balfour Irvine & Webster to become Paterson Burn

1925-47 Balfour Irvine and Webster is on south end of Victoria Street
1948 Moves to opposite Ward Street
1954 Gerry Patterden joins
1980 Moves into Ward Street
1986 David Burn joins practice
1995 Merges with Adrian Paterson to become Paterson Burn
After the merging and forming Paterson Burn Optometrists, there were practices in Anglesea Street, Hamilton, Tokoroa, and a new practice was commenced in Te Awamutu.
2002 Damian Koppens became a partner
2004 Purchased practice in Chartwell
2007 Opened new practice in Thames
2007 Purchased practice in Cambridge
2007 Brian Dover became a partner
