My work is inspired by a black and white photograph of my grandpa, which makes me wonder what the world was like in his generation, with the Chinese cultural revolution. My grandpa grew up in a tumultuous, politically unstable time, but that didn't stop people's determination and hope of building a better tomorrow. Then our generation can grow up in a safe and stable environment.
