My painting is about feeling invisible. As a teenager growing up in a world when you are judged, invisibility is a common thing to feel. Sometimes you feel like you are faded out of sight. The artwork is inspired by this theme seen above in society today. The shoes in the painting symbolise that even though you may not see someone, they are there, feeling lonely and invisible. There is a shadow there blowing out of sight and this could cause depression (the girl standing in the rain) which could lead to worse consequences. I am trying to get the message out that this is not right, no one should feel invisible and as a society, we need to change that. Everyone should be seen, and no one should feel as they are meaningless/invisible. Deception is seen in this artwork as there is someone in the shoes, however you can't see them as they are invisible to everyone around. Sometimes we think people can only see a shadow of us or just our shoes. We need to change this in society today as it could lead to unimaginable consequences.
